Bio
Principal
Brenda Noel, founder of Brenda Noel Consulting, has over 15 years experience in the public and non-profit sectors, working as a grant manager, program developer, trainer, manager, and advocate. As a federal grant manager for the state, she developed an effective understanding of the interdependent relationship between government agencies and non-profits. She is uniquely skilled at working collaboratively, values the inclusion of each stakeholder and works effectively with groups towards consensus building. She is a creative thinker, planner, and doer, and the projects she has directed have been met with remarkable success.
Her current services include strategy development, capacity building, grant writing, fundraising, and conference planning. She has substantive knowledge in a wide range of issue areas including victims of crime, domestic violence and sexual assault, youth development, and child and family services. She holds a Masters Degree in Macro Social Work from Boston University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Massachusetts.
Experience
Prior to beginning her consulting practice she worked for the Massachusetts Office For Victim Assistance managing over 10 million dollars in federal and state funding for victims of crime, and managed the public education and training components at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. As a consultant she helps non-profits, and government agencies resolve immediate issues and tackle long standing systemic challenges. She has a wide range of skills and adaptability, supporting organizations to effectively achieve their social missions.
